A beer that shares a name with our blog has to be good right?! It was! I found Boomtown Blonde to be very light and refreshing. It was lightly carbonated and the hops were very very subtle, troche leaving this brew without any bitter notes.
There was just a touch of sweetness and a slight creaminess from the malts that made for great flavor; and it smelled as good as it tasted! It was a very mild brew that could be enjoyed anytime. I enjoyed this thoroughly with the bison ribeye I had for dinner! Mmmmmm.
We all know I enjoy my cans ALMOST as much as I enjoy the beer inside. Spindletap did not disappoint with an entertaining, clinic smack talking can! By the way guys, shop please recycle….or else!! Boomtown Blonde was brewed just for us Houston! For the full story on Boomtown and how this brew got it’s name you can hit the Spindletap Brewery website.
Spindletap is already utilizing my kind of equipment but if they hit me up maybe I can help them get a sharper mark – theirs was a little difficult to read.
On that same note…take a look at the video I found from Matthews Marking about marking on the cans and bottles for micro breweries!
Also, as an ode to Boomtown…here’s a Boomtown tune to check out!!
